Children’s award winning inventions on display – Saturday 15th June

3 Jun 2019

At UWE Bristol’s Exhibition and Conference Centre on Saturday 15th June (10am – 2pm), the Leaders Award winning and shortlisted entries will be exhibited for the public.

The Leaders Award is an annual competition where children aged 5 to 18 years of age design inventions to tackle the world’s problems as they seek to answer the question:

“If you were an engineer, what would you do?”

So bring the whole family and be inspired by the region’s children. Decide which is your favourite? Do you think it will work?

And check out the prototype design that UWE engineers have been working on from last year’s regional winner’s design – a red light braking system where the intensity of light alerts drivers to the severity of braking.

Prowl the exhibit, grab a bite to eat at the cafe, and decide which designs you think will be the technology of the future…
