FREE taster workshops for Bristol schools with WellGoodprojects
For British Science Week this year, WellGood are offering FREE taster workshops to primary schools in Bristol, in support of SOS!
WellGoodprojects was launched in 2020 as a response to the urgent need for projects that regenerate people, their places and the planet.
Project Re:Generation was the first to be launched, inspired by a life changing trip to Sumatra – connecting with Indonesian wildlife charities Orangutan Information Centre, the Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS) and the Leuser Nature school.
With over six years experience working with youth and communities around the world, Tawny the Founder of WellGood, now offers experiential and educational workshops for KS2 students.
The theme for this one hour workshop in support of the Sumatran Orangutan
Society is Food, Forests and Tropical Ecology.
Students will be engaged with a mixture of presentations, interactive activities and inspiring stories from the Sumatran jungle! There will also be an optional, downloadable activity provided where students can upcycle a planter and get hands-on, either at home or in the classroom.
WellGoodprojects aim to raise awareness about the effects of deforestation and how this impacts climate change, and to inspire students with positive, accessible and localised action.
