Primary Science Education Network Event

The Science Learning Partnership is hosting a free remote information evening on Zoom on the 24th of November from 4:30pm to 5:00pm for the launch of a new regional network for primary science subject leads.

The Science Learning Partnership has recently taken over supporting schools within Bristol and South Gloucestershire and are launching the network in December this year. This free (no obligation) remote information/meet and greet session is for all Science Subject Leads interested in joining the Bristol/South Gloucestershire Network.

Bristol and South Gloucestershire Primary School Science

The aim is for the network meetings to have a big impact on primary science education in Bristol and South Gloucestershire by connecting as many science subject leaders as possible in the area. The network will be run by Adfecto, who already run the Gloucester network very successfully.

The meeting will focus on restarting Subject Leader Meetings in the area. It is a brief session to allow the discussion of the needs of those in the area and future meetings. If you want to help develop a vibrant and diverse network, sign up for the meeting! It is anticipated that future meetings will be in-person as the network builds.

Network with other Primary Science Subject Leads

The network aims to allow participants to collaborate with each other so that they can share information and develop as leaders. Expert consultants will help identify priority issues in teaching, learning, and professional development. This strengthening of informal inter-school support will create an effective network of information, advice, and guidance.

The event will allow those involved to develop the teaching and assessment of working scientifically in primary schools and assist with the development of schemes of learning to enhance the teaching of science.
