Big Bang Pack-a-Lunch Challenge
The Big Bang Pack-a-Lunch Challenge is a STEM resource and competition available to primary schools.
The Big Bang Pack-a-Lunch Challenge asks pupils to design a new lunchbox using recyclable material, to research and create menus which use locally sourced food, and then come up with a marketing campaign for their creation.
This challenge enables pupils to learn about food miles and how to put together a nutritionally balanced lunch. It is a cross-curricular project linking together topics in Science and D&T.
Participation in the challenge will give primary schools the opportunity for their pupils to play an active part in The Big Bang @ Weston science and engineering fair, being held on the 26th and 27th April 2019 at The Winter Gardens, Weston-super-Mare.
