Get involved in International Space Week
It’s world space week – October 4 -10
An ideal time for teachers and educators to use space-based activities to get kids excited about science and technology.
The official World Space Week Association have put together a bunch of great stuff including:
- teacher activity guides
- a list of event ideas
- a guide to running world space week events.
And if you have a year 6 class, you could get them to take part in the Moon Exploration survey.
There’s also a free local event you could attend – Wells and Mendip Astronomers – are running Space Detectives Virtual Reality Space Spectroscopy, Astrophotography Displays, the chance to drive a robotic Mars Rover and 3D Space Printing.
Not feeling confident teaching space?
There’s a primary space training event in Newport on 24th Sept 2019 – read more about it here.
More inspiration and activities?
Check out some of Curiosity’s previous posts on Space resources.
There are loads of educational space activities available, so make sure you get involved!
