Curious Stories return to Bristol!
October was the long awaited return of Bristol’s Storytale Festival – and with it Curiosity Connections very own initiative “Curious Stories for Curious Children”.
We deployed “Curious Stories for Curious Children” at the first festival in 2019 with great success – children and parents all loved hearing the fun science-stereotype challenging stories and then quizzing the STEM Ambassador readers about their careers. It’s been so successful that we’ve now taken “Curious Stories for Curious Children” into schools.
But it was fantastic to return to different venues in Bristol and work again with the great Storytale Festival team.
The Festival was held over the first weekend of October half-term, and the Curious Connections team along with fully trained STEM Ambassadors, popped into the ssGreat Britain and the Clifton Suspension Bridge Visitor Centre for three storytelling sessions.
It was a lovely weekend of science-y stories, entertaining lots of families, with loads of fantastic questions from the kids.
Teachers – if science-stereotype challenging storytelling is something you’d be interested in getting in for your class, you can book our fully storytelling-trained STEM Ambassadors to come into your school.
