Engineering Competition Crunch Time
On 2nd April, local engineers gathered at GKN Aerospace in Bristol to grade the invention responses to the Leaders Award challenge of “If you were an engineer, what would you do?”
There were lots happy volunteer faces, as they worked hard, often in teams to grade the many entries submitted by pupils aged 3-19. Each year of this annual competition, the engineers are wowed by children’s innovation, and this year was no different.
Entries will go through to a final judging day happening at UWE Bristol. Then the celebration event will take part in the School of Engineering on 27th June – with all the top designs on display and kept up for the Family Fun day on 28th June. One to put in the diary!
Thanks all you volunteer Engineers!

The Leaders Award is a nationwide engineering competition run by Primary Engineer.
