FUTURES Discovery Day

Come along to a free day of wonder, fun and discovery in central Bristol!

Date: 27/09/2025 | Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm | Location: We The Curious, Bristol

Get up close to the latest advances in medicine, law, theatre, engineering and much more through exciting hands-on activities, games and short talks.

Meet friendly researchers from the Universities of Bristol and Bath who are working on the most pressing questions of our time, from climate change and quantum computing to pandemics and AI. How do bats seek out food? Why do we feel disgust? What can a map of medieval Bristol tell us about our present-day city? What do the latest robots have in common with octopuses? How can you print with Lego?

Find out the answers to these questions and many more at a day packed with entertaining activities, mind-expanding conversations and extraordinary experiences.  Tickets are FREE, but booking is required.  Suitable for families, primary-school children and all curious people.
