Get “Green” CPD for your school!

Using the wonderfully visual Inspire Green Futures top-trump style card pack to engage young people, the Inspire Sustainability outreach team at UWE Bristol have successfully developed Green CPD sessions for teachers in primary and secondary schools.

The CPD sessions are short, practical sessions – less than an hour long where specific job profiles are selected for integration into curriculum topics – bringing real-life relevance to lessons.

It can be as simple as a weblink to the full job profiles of local people – or a slide inserted into an English lesson showcasing how being a great speaker or writer can be used to explain a solution to the climate crisis or persuade politicians to make green choices for their constituents.

OR you can use these real people as inspiration for a local project – resources are available to support this!

A wonderful area of opportunity for your students!

The government aims to support 2 million new green jobs by 2050 – this will be across all sectors of society to address the UK energy security needs and nature crisis – those are 2 million opportunities for your students

The CPD session can be integrated into an inset day or a team meeting – it’s an opportunity to open teachers eyes to realms of new job opportunities and provide easy to pick up resources to share with their students.

If you’re out of the West of England area – we can provide training online!
