Amelia founded and directs Sustainable Fashion Week – a network across the UK that campaigns for people to have a more sustainable relationship with their clothing.

This means helping them to understand where their clothes come from and how they can buy garments that don’t harm nature or the people who make them.

Amelia spends most of her time building relationships with individuals, companies and community groups – bringing them all together in a strong network across the UK. She leads this network to put on events and activities for people from all backgrounds to take part in.

Best part? “The love and support of the sustainable fashion community – together we are building a new vision for the industry which includes empathy and wellbeing.”

Earning: £12,500 – £40,000

Workplace: Amelia is mostly based at her computer, organising events over email and online meetings.

But then at events, Amelia is hands-on running things with her bag of sewing materials and box of example ‘raw materials’ – things that fabrics are created from to make our clothing.

She works with hundreds of people and organisations all across the UK, promoting the action they’re taking to change fashion.

“I get emails all the time from a big variety of different organisations asking to work with us. We’ve even been approached by members of parliament.”
