Repair Reuse Specialist

Gwen is the director of Resource Futures, a sustainability consultancy that advises their partners to move away from wasteful practices.

Gwen directs a team of people helping organisations to design things better, use them for longer, and find ways to reuse, repair or return them when they’ve finished using them.

Surprising bit? “We [Resource Futures] spend a lot of time working with rubbish! People always need to know what is in the bin and how to try and manage the waste we have.

“So we collect and look through peoples’ bins and work out what is being discarded, which can be quite smelly and mucky! But if we don’t know what is being wasted, we can’t improve things.”

These mucky bits help organisations understand what people are throwing away so they can recycle more and waste less. And Gwen makes sure the business as a whole runs smoothly.
