Manu helps to run three charities focused on creating a better education system and giving people from all backgrounds the opportunity to feel empowered in nature and the environment sector.
“I was a teacher before I started setting up my own projects and education remains at the centre of what I do.”
The Global Goals Centre – is an educational charity inspiring learning and action on climate, nature and equality in our everyday lives. Manu works on some of these fun and socially conscious education projects, including running a sustainable department store – Sparks – in Bristol City Centre.
Manu loves being in the outdoors, and working with NYCE he gets out into nature helping young people gain skills in the natural environment.
At SOS-UK, Manu supports students to act for environmental justice, challenging the environmental sector to work better with all of the country’s population, whatever their background or wealth.
Surprising bit? “I get to talk to homeless people and multi-millionaires in the same day!”

Workplace: Depending on the day, Manu might be found in front of a computer with a pen and paper. Or outside with a map, compass and woodworking knife.
