What is PSQM?
Established back in 2010, Primary Science Quality Mark is a comprehensive, one-year, evidence-informed, professional development and school improvement programme. This equips primary science subject leaders with the knowledge, confidence, and expert support they need to transform the quality and profile of science education in their schools. The PSQM empowers science subject leaders to make a positive and lasting impact on science teaching and learning.
Science subject leaders who successfully complete the programme receive recognition for their school through the accreditation of a highly regarded Primary Science Quality Mark.
Who is PSQM for?
There are three different Primary Science Quality Marks with unique starting points, which ensures that the accreditation is relevant and achievable for all schools.
Over 60% of schools begin with PSQM, but for those schools where effective leadership is already embedded or where there is impact beyond the school, the other quality marks provide the right development goals.
Where are the local PSQM Hubs?
Across the Southwest, there are local PSQM Hub Leaders who are leading / or have previously led PSQM hubs in Bristol, Swindon, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, BANES, Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon & Cornwall.
