Pollinator Fund Manager
-
Peter works for the West of England Combined Authority, which is the combined authority (government) for Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Nature recovery (from human impact) is crucial for our region and Peter works in a team focusing on helping pollinators like bees.
Peter supports a range of projects all focused on improving habitats for pollinators. He helps community organisations get hold of money from grants to do the practical habitat work and to engage people with practical ways to help nature.
Peter also runs events and competitions to engage all sorts of organisations with pollinators – letting them know the importance of these critters for our food supply chain. He finds, celebrates and shares the best ways to cultivate pollinator habitats across the region.
Surprising? “Sometimes you can find yourself walking through a beautiful meadow chasing bumblebees with a film crew!”
