Ben works for a charity – The Travel Foundation – that is helping tourism to become a positive force for places and our planet.

Lots of people holidaying in a location can cause problems there – for example – by dropping litter & scaring animals away from popular hiking routes.

Ben gets to work with people from all over the world and make a big difference. Although sometimes he feels like there’s too much to do and not enough time!

“I need to convince destination governments that there is a better way of doing tourism, and so I need to understand how to bring about change. This often means building a case for new policies, products, and ways of doing things, and demonstrating that these are better, and less risky, than continuing with the status quo.”

Workplace: Ben mostly works on his computer, reading reports, the news & data about tourism. He also spends time speaking to people all over the world online and at in-person events.
